Dear Brethren,

On September 16th I posted an announcement concerning WBZ and Joel Bell. That announcement was the withdrawal of my personal endorsement of the organization. As stated in the announcement, communications with Joel Bell and leaders here in the United States had broken down. There were several important issues that needed to be addressed, and September 15 was deadline for some of those issues.

Since that posting, I have spoken with Joel Bell. In fact, I spoke with him today, September 18th. I am pleased to report that the issues which prompted my statement have been addressed in a reasonable and factual manner. In short, it is clear that part of the communication breakdown was due to an incorrect telephone number. That one issue prompted Party A to believe that there was no issue while Party B believed that they were being ignored. Not only has that been corrected, but the discovery of changes to the schedule of events and planning for the Israel tour have reasonable and understandable explanations.

Joel Bell has agreed to meet with the other leaders in an expeditious manner. Therefore, we are making progress to address any and all remaining issues, including the accountability of all funds. I would ask that you grant Joel and the other leaders some favor to sort this matter out wisely and appropriately. Joel stated he is working hard to fulfill his obligations for the upcoming November tour in Israel. As for the other leaders here in the US and Canada, we are meeting as soon as possible to bring this matter to a full and satisfactory completion. You should expect to see a comprehensive follow-on report which represents a consensus position of the leadership. Thank you for your patience and prayers.
