What Would You Do? / December 2009

What Would You Do?

In 2009, Hollywood put out a couple of movies that addressed the idea of the world coming to a climactic end. One of them was Knowing and the other was 2012. Both had incredible special effects of devastating fires, floods, and earthquakes. Hollywood loves to put out “disaster” movies because the audiences eat them up. However, these “disaster” movies are moving into a new realm. Many people believe the end of the world as we know it is coming soon and Hollywood is playing to that expectation. Biblical themes and ancients myths play into the storylines and key off of the audiences’ prior knowledge.

In both movies, the central characters are trying to understand the impending destruction and position themselves (with their children) to somehow survive the onslaught. It is laughable but in both movies the government knows what is going to happen and secretly prepares to save itself and some select other people. You get to see a study in characters playing out the theme: those who attempt to save themselves die, and those who don’t try to save themselves are saved.

The movie Knowing used some mysterious characters to raise the suspense who were modeled after the four living creatures and the burning wheels of Ezekiel’s vision from the Bible. It also used a consuming fire from a solar source as its cause for the Earth’s disaster. The movie 2012 drifted away from the Bible’s description of the Day of the Lord with the exception of the massive earthquakes and resulting tsunamis. Actually, the 2012 movie was more of a giant flood scenario with giant ships (called Arks) constructed to float the people to the new world. Although it was Scripturally inaccurate that a flood would be the final judgment, virtually no attribution was given to the Bible or its end-time theme of the final judgment upon man by a returning Holy God. That would be politically incorrect.

Despite the fantastic scenarios, both movies do raise thoughtful questions about what people would do if they were to learn that the world is facing a catastrophic conclusion. For example, how would you know the catastrophe was coming if it was coming? And then… What would you do? How would you prepare? Where would you go?

The subject of eschatology (the study of last things) has been a compelling subject with me since I came to know the Lord in my youth. Hal Lindsey’s book The Late Great Planet Earth promoted the study of eschatology in our generation more than all of the fire-and-brimstone preachers combined. While I think that the title of his book was brilliant, the content of the book was borderline foolishness. However, Hal Lindsey did point out the true source of end-time prophecy – the prophets of Israel. This is what I therefore pursued in my search to know about the end of days.

Not everyone in the faith shares my enthusiasm about end-time events. Most find the subject to be confusing at best and a playground of false expectations. I know of some churches that flatly refuse their preachers to even teach the book of Revelation. I suspect that their aversion to the subject is based on past discredited theories in combination with their own personal fears of the subject.

Historically, end-time prophecy has come into its own in the last 200 years. The dominant scenarios deal with events coming suddenly (in the twinkling of an eye) and then everyone going to one of two places – heaven or hell. My first awareness of this was at the age of 14. I was a freshman in high school, and the national media picked up on some guy in Florida predicting that the world would come to an end at 1:30 pm. Don’t ask me why it was on the half hour instead of on the hour. For the hour leading up to 1:30, I was in Miss Edberg’s Latin class. That was the thing that distressed me the most – my final hour of life would be with Miss Edberg. It turned out that the world did not come to an end, and I survived Latin class as well.

In this generation there has been an explosion of material and thought on the subject of the end of the ages. There have probably been more books and teachings on the subject put out in the last 40 years than in the previous 1900 years. The number of theories and scenarios has proliferated. We now have pre- and post-millennialism, or amillennialism if you don’t believe in the thousand year reign. We have pre, mid, post, and partial rapture theories. Most of these theories have the church being the “good guys” who get saved and everyone else, including the Jews, have to get saved by having their heads cut off. Bizarre isn’t quite strong enough to explain the range of scenarios. This atmosphere just amplifies the confusion surrounding a serious pursuit of the truth.

Just answering the questions “Is there an end-of-the-age event?” and “Is there a final judgment of God upon the world?” has come into more question because of the multitude of ridiculous theories and scenarios. How do we know for certain that there is a final day for the world coming? This question has to be answered before we can answer “What do we then do?”

As I said before, many believers have glossed over this and just accepted the idea that God would one day judge the world. But today, a godless society is challenging this assumption and saying that anyone who looks for end-time events is crazy and off his rocker.

While campaigning in the last election, Vice President Joe Biden made reference to his fellow citizens when he acknowledged that the majority of Americans believe in the second coming which he referred to as “malarkey.” He is not alone. The “enlightened” and “elite” of our world view the majority of Americans (church going Christians) as the unwashed and ignorant masses.

This controversy is growing. It is as the Apostle Peter has said. In the last days there will be “mockers.” They don’t believe that God will come and judge the world or that there is a day scheduled when God returns and changes everything. The reason they think this way is that they have forgotten (or don’t believe) that God has already judged the world once before.

In fact, God has said that the world would not be judged by water again as He did with Noah; next time the world will be judged by fire.

Whenever I talk about the end-time events and what the Scriptures say, I force the audience to deal with the question “Are we the last generation?” If you don’t answer that question with an affirmative, then there is no need to talk about “What would you do?” Let me give you another example concerning this point. Let’s say that we are standing outside together and we look down to see two steel rails extending to two opposite horizons. Let’s say that I tell you these are railroad tracks. This is like God’s creation; they exist and someone put them there earlier. But then I go further and I say there is a train that will soon be on those rails and will come back very soon at a high rate of speed and force. It is God’s return trip and with it comes judgment upon His enemies. Do you believe me? Let’s say that I point to a distant light on the tracks at the horizon. Let’s say that I get you to hear a distant train whistle and we begin to sense vibrations on the tracks and ground nearby. You can see that the light is getting bigger. Do you believe then?

So, what do you think? Are we the last generation? Or is the world just doing its normal thing of convulsing and vomiting itself into another couple of centuries of human misery and vanity. Is there a train coming or not?

What does the Bible say about knowing whether we are at the end of the ages? What does the Bible say are the specific judgments and difficulties that we are to face if we are at that particular time? What does the Bible say that we are to do about all of this? How do we answer “What would you do?”

If you are reading this article and you do not believe we are the last generation, then you don’t need to read any further. Have a nice day. However, if you suspect that we could well be the last generation, allow me to affirm that thought so you will take the rest of this article seriously.

Facts that suggest we are the last generation at the end of the ages:

1. We are the most populous generation in the history of the world. In fact, we have more people alive today (6.5 billion) than have ever lived in the history of the world dating back to the creation combined. More than 50 percent of the world’s human population is alive today in this generation. We are the greatest generation in the history of the world on the basis of population. The prophecy says that there would be many people at the end.

2. We travel around the earth as no other generation has ever done before. Planes, trains, automobiles, and spacecraft are the vehicles of our day. They were dreams of what might be before our generation. The prophecy says that the many people would travel back and forth.

3. Our present technology is multiplying so fast that those dedicated to its development can’t even keep up. In consumer electronics alone, we have gone from analog everything to digital beyond everything. My once small handheld calculator has become a cell phone on which I play computer games, watch TV, scan the internet, and get my text and voice messages. I can even make and receive telephone calls! My home telephone is now obsolete and no longer needed. When it comes to real gee-whiz stuff, technology has replaced or significantly enhanced every tool that we use to plant, develop, or build everything. Medical tools have gone far beyond a simple x-ray. Surgical lasers have gone beyond a scalpel. The prophecy says that knowledge (technology) would increase in the last generation.

4. A Biblical age is approximately 2,000 years. When we speak of the end of the ages, we are referring to the conclusion of three ages – approximately 6,000 years. The Bible says that one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day. This is a reference to the creation story and how it lays out the overall plan of God. There were six days of creation followed by one day of Sabbath rest. Biblical history follows this plan. There have been six days of the work (creation) and we are looking forward to the Sabbath of millennia (the last day). The prophets refer to the end as being the last day, and the Messiah ruling as the Lord of the Sabbath for one thousand years. Bible chronologists have calculated that the Biblical year 6,000 should occur somewhere between 1994 (the Usher chronology) to as late as 2017 (the star dating method). We are the only generation that has lived and needed to address the possibility ranging from 1994 to 2017.

5. Etc. I will stop listing the facts to support the conclusion that we are the last generation simply because it would take the rest of this article and the next two monthly articles I would write just to list them.

I have found that there are three types of people who want to know about the end of the ages and the final judgment. The first type is people who are in debt up to their eyeballs and no chance of ever seeing it being paid off. They see the coming of the Lord as getting a “clean slate” from all of their financial circumstances. The second type is those with debilitating health issues caused by chronic disease or physical handicap. The most stirring presentation about the second coming I ever heard was from a quadriplegic man explaining what he would do with his new body after the resurrection and rapture. At first I pitied him for his difficult circumstance in life, but he vowed that he would beat me in a 100 yard dash once we both got to the kingdom. The third type is those who want to see the Lord return and long for His ruling and reigning in righteousness. I won’t be discussing them here because they are already watching and making sure they are on board.

At some point in this discussion we need to get serious and make a judgment about where we are and where the end of the ages is. Is the light, the whistle, and the ground shaking causing you to conclude that there is a train coming? Let’s say Yes and move forward to the point of this article.

If you knew you were part of the last generation and the end was coming in your lifetime, what would you do? If you were standing on the tracks and knew the train was coming, what would you do?

There is already an assortment of brethren who have begun to answer that question. Some have selected a piece of land outside their city and have begun to stockpile various items. Some have put in their own utility systems, water storage, and started raising goats and chickens. Others have stocked up on canned goods, dehydrated foods, MRE’s (meals-ready-to-eat), and armed themselves with extra ammo. Still others are trying to figure out how to preserve their savings by buying gold and silver.

All of these efforts are shortsighted in my opinion. First, God is the One bringing about the end of the age and preparing to establish His kingdom. Trying to hang on to what is here seems contrary to the changes that will take place. There is no piece of dirt that needs to be protected or kept. God is going to own it all in the end. Besides, what are you going to do if you have a huge stockpile and you are forced to relocate?

The idea of the Lord’s coming is like a coming freight train—it is big and awesome. There will be a lot of noise, it will command everyone’s attention, and it will come close to you. The key is to not be on the tracks but to be ready to catch a ride on the train.

There are three destinies for the saints according to Scripture: (1) to die by the sword, (2) be taken captive, or (3) to escape, survive, and endure to the end. The first outcome will be for those who decided to save themselves with a gun or weapon. The second will be for those who didn’t believe we were the last generation or lacked the courage or foresight to do anything. The third group will be those who join in God’s escape plan.

To be part of God’s escape plan you must lay down your own survival plan of finding a particular place and holding out for 3 ½ years. Trying to do so will result in one of the first two destinies.

The Messiah has weighed in on this question, but His counsel has little to do with food and water, or guns and gold. The Messiah has surveyed all of His brethren and pointed out things that need correction and things that should be done. I believe that the Messiah’s counsel on what we should do far surpasses the best efforts of this world’s survival experts.

Let’s review what the Messiah had to say about preparing for the end of the ages and the fact that we are the last generation. His counsel is given in seven messages to the last generation believers. He does not suggest that you buy a piece of remote land or store up food. He instead says there are things that need to be corrected spiritually. As you read these seven messages, you should do your own spiritual inventory. Is He speaking of you?

In the first message He says:

I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot endure evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; and you have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you, and will remove your lampstand [menorah] out of its place-unless you repent. Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Revelation 2:2-6

Every one of us remembers the first days of coming to know and understand our faith in the Messiah. Life was exciting and special realizing how powerful God’s love is toward us. But as everyone also knows, the day-to-day routine of life catches up with our faith and it is not long before the zeal and enthusiasm for God begins to wane. Temptations return and the principles of our faith are traded off in small compromises. Given the days that are ahead of us concerning the end of the ages, this is a perfect formula for spiritual cowardice. We must realize the joy of the Lord is our strength. We need to be strong and completely convinced of God’s ability to deliver us.

The threat of losing our lamp stand (menorah) is not much of a threat to church folks; however, it is a threat to Messianic believers. Without the menorah (representing the Spirit) we lose touch with the importance of Sabbath and the festivals. This is devastating to our Messianic walk. This threat is very real to us. Additionally, darkness is a major judgment in the final days of indignation called the Great Tribulation. In fact, the darkness will come in the final 5 months. God promises that His people will still have light, but if this punishment is carried out as explained in the first message, the darkness of those days will be very severe.

In the second message Yeshua says this:

I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Revelation 2:9-10

This is a strange warning for two reasons. One, there are obviously believing Jews in the fellowship, which would be consistent with a Messianic assembly. These believing Jews, however, are misbehaving in some way asserting their Jewish identity.

In the days of the second temple period, the days of Yeshua and the disciples, the Jews set up a middle wall of partition keeping the Gentile believers out of the temple in Jerusalem. This was never authorized by God or Moses (Torah). This separation represented Jewish bigotry and was contrary to the faith in God. To this day, the middle wall of partition still exists not in stone, but in attitude and haughtiness on the part of some Messianic Jews. They regard themselves as separate and above Gentile believers. Some even teach that Gentiles should not keep Sabbath, Kosher, or the commandments of Torah. They are also ignorant of the prophecies of the end. I fear as this message suggests that many brethren will be taken captive and not even try to escape. In that case, the Lord calls upon them to remain faithful until death (which will not take long).

In the third message He says:

I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith, even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit acts of immorality. Thus you also have some who in the same way hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.
Revelation 2:13-16

The teaching of Balaam was a direct affront to the teachings of Moses. In fact, the teaching of Balaam is the specific effort to compromise the teachings of Moses by mixing others’ festivals and customs to diminish the commandments of God. Today, this is more prevalent than you would imagine. Many Christians believe that they can ignore Moses altogether and just focus on the New Testament and grace. Not satisfied there, they readily mix other customs and cultural expressions with God. Many of these customs fall under the Scriptural definition of idolatry, but this doesn’t stop the brethren from continuing on. One of the most glaring examples of this is the custom of Christmas, the Christmas tree, and the children’s story of Santa Claus. The birth of the Messiah was in the fall, not in winter. Every Bible scholar knows this, so, let’s drop the facade that the birth of the Messiah is the “reason for the season.” The fact is the 25th of December is the birth of Mithra, a competing heathen deity during early Christianity. The church fathers decided it was better to just absorb it instead of objecting to it. The Christmas tree is a direct example of the prohibited asherim (trees of praise) of idolatry. The prophet Jeremiah describes in Chapter 10 of his book a man cutting down an evergreen tree, attaching boards to its base so it doesn’t totter, and then decorating it with gold and silver to be placed in the home as idolatry. There is no debating this. The Scripture is clear and specific.

I have discussed this point many times with Christians who have Christmas trees in their homes. I assure them that I know “in their hearts” they are not committing idolatry. They agree. Then I show that when they bow before the tree to receive the blessings (gifts) out from under it that there no more mystery about it. They are idolaters then.

Santa Claus is nothing more than the Dutch rendering of the Greek god Poseidon. The same god is called Neptune in Roman lore. Poseidon/Neptune is the mythological god of the seas. He is also is known for helping small poor children with gifts. Thus, we have the roots of Santa Claus in America today. Even with this knowledge, good Christian brethren participate with this culture and teach their children about Greco-Roman gods.

As a result of applying Balaam’s teaching, immorality follows, festivals of idols are attended, and sensuality and pleasure take precedence over spiritual truth. The Nicolaitans were known in the ancient times as those who strived for sensuality and pleasure. They took public bathing to whole new level in the Roman world, integrating sexual immorality and drunkenness as common place in their cities.

Today, the cities we live in as believers have the same testimonies with pornography, homosexuality, lesbianism, and sexual misconduct by many church leaders. It’s not hush-hush; it is on public display.

The Messiah’s admonition to repent quickly or suffer the judgment of the sword that comes from His mouth is a very serious threat.

In the fourth message He says:

I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray, so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent; and she does not want to repent of her immorality. Behold, I will cast her upon a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds. And I will kill her children with pestilence; and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds. But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them, I place no other burden on you. Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come.
Revelation 2:19-25

Jezebel and her worship of Baal led to much harm in Israel. When Jezebel wanted a certain man’s land and he refused to sell it to her, she demanded that her husband, the king, get it for her. The king did as she said and murdered the man, thus stealing his land. This is why Elijah the prophet was dispatched. The spirit of Jezebel is that of a woman who destroys the leadership of other men, always wanting to get her way. She is haughty and disrespectful, asserting her way as the only way.

There any fellowships and congregations led by the spirit of Jezebel with varying degrees of on-going dispute. Prophets and strong spiritual leaders always have problems with them. They are lightning rods for conflict.

From a spiritual preparation standpoint for the end of the ages, God’s judgment in the Great Tribulation is specifically directed toward those who would join with Jezebel. God’s judgment will not be a blanket thing. Instead, He will search out every heart and mind and return upon everyone measure for measure the appropriate judgment. They would have fared better if it had been a blanket judgment because God would have mixed mercy in with the generalized judgment.

Satan deceived Eve in the garden. Satan has deceived Jezebel and some others with the spirit of Jezebel. Therefore it is understandable that God will not tolerate it in the brethren today preparing to walk into His restored garden (the Messianic Age).

In the fifth message He says:

Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. Remember therefore what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. If therefore you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you.
Revelation 3:2-3

Apathy and laziness in the faith are probably the most common mistakes of believers today. It saddens me when I meet believers that have been in a church fellowship for many years and they are no different from the people they were 20, 30, or more years before. They are like in a spiritual stupor, asleep to the world they are living in. These are the people who will the most shocked when the end comes. In fact, I believe that unbelievers will actually understand the end-time events better than them. What’s more, these folks stave off any warnings by just rolling over to the other side to snooze some more.

It was said of the High Priest when he came into the temple each day before the dawn (in the dark) that he entered like a thief. There was a priest who was stationed in the temple the night before to keep the altar fire going. If the High Priest found the temple fire low and needing attendance, he would know that the priest left his watch duty and had fallen asleep somewhere. The High Priest would take some of the coals from the altar with a fire pan and go looking for the sleeping priest. When he found him, he would light the bottom of his garments on fire. This was a very exciting (and rude) way for the priest to wake-up.

With regard to the end times and our Master returning, He is our High Priest. We have been directed to keep the altar fire in our tabernacles burning brightly. If the Messiah finds us sleeping, He will light our altar up and our garments up. It won’t be a pretty sight. Maybe this why in Revelation 16 the Messiah warns us all:

Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his garments, lest he walk about naked and men see his shame.
Revelation 16:15

In the sixth message He says:

I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews, and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them to come and bow down at your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth. I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, in order that no one take your crown.
Revelation 3:8-11

Like the second message, this message addresses the fact that there are some believing Jews in the fellowship and, like the previous warning, these believing Jews are at odds with other believers. In particular, we believe that the other believers are those who hold to the Torah and assert the prophecies of the two houses of Israel. The quotation from Isaiah: behold, I will make them to come and bow down at your feet, and to know that I have loved you, is a word of protection and encouragement to the House of Ephraim. At present, there is a group of Messianic Jews who are very opposed to the two house teaching and the Ephraimites. This is a very relevant theological issue today with incredible prophetic significance. The prophecy is clear that part of the Great Tribulation is an effort on the part of the antimessiah to stop the return of the scattered exiles of the House of Israel (the northern kingdom led by Ephraim). This is the great prophecy of restoration when the Messiah brings the scattered exiles of Israel back to the Promised Land. The House of Judah (the Jews) has returned but we await the return of Ephraim. This is the end-time scenario leading the return of the Messiah Himself.

If you are one of my two house brethren, ignore the scorn of those Messianic Jews who discredit and devalue you. The Messiah Himself has pledged His vindication for the House of Israel. Instead, you should hold fast to the Torah and the instructions of righteousness.

In the seventh message He says:

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich, and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 3:15-20

For some reason this particular message has resonated with many preachers in my lifetime. I have heard this passage of Scripture more times than any other passage in the rest of the book of Revelation. Maybe it is the contrast between thinking they are rich when they are poor and seeing themselves as clothed well when they are in fact naked and blind. Maybe it is the whole lukewarm thing, in between positions of saying you are a believer and behaving like you are not. Maybe it is the position of not caring whether the Lord returns or not. Whatever it is, the Lord does not like it. Of all the words of admonition that God could use, comparing a believer to vomit simply cannot be considered a good thing. I would say that is a seriously negative assessment.

Obviously, this negative statement is intended to motivate the believer to pick himself up and get with God’s program. God says that He reproves and disciplines those whom He loves. Being lukewarm about the end of the ages and the Messiah’s return is not acceptable to God.

Let’s summarize the answer to the question what would you or should you do if you knew that we were the last generation and the end of the ages was upon us. Let me use my approaching train word picture. The answer is not in trying to stay a step ahead of God’s judgments; that is, you cannot outrun the approaching train and stay just ahead of it with your provisions. Storing up food, water, and ammo will not get it done for you. The right answer is found in getting off the tracks altogether and becoming a passenger on the train. The right answer is about repenting.

Let me explain it this way. The financial system of the world will soon collapse. Having a lot of dollars saved up will just be a huge loss for you. If you have decided to store up the value in gold, that’s good. But then what do you trade it for after money is worthless?

The government will collapse and in desperation abandon its own citizenry by hiding in holes in the ground. Anarchy will prevail. You will be able to trust no one. No one will be safe. Only by banding together in groups will you have a chance and then you will have to deal with alpha male leaders using you for their survival.

Mix all of this with the loss of all public services such telecommunications, electrical power, and water. Then let’s put all food and fuel distribution into serious question. Let’s have the sun send some of those CME’s (coronal mass ejections) our way to take out the power grid and radiate us real good. For good measure let’s throw in some volcanoes and big earthquakes. Oh, let’s have an asteroid hit the earth in a deep impact scenario. Let’s have fresh water be poisoned a little to go with the famine and wide spread disease. Then let’s have war, several of them with nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons being slung around. I’m certain those MRE’s you stored up in your very own little house on the prairie will make you snug as bug. The only problem is that we still have another couple of years of the Great Tribulation and your stockpile is only good for a few more days. Like I said, it is like trying to outrun an approaching train.

There is only one reasonable answer for What would you do? Get out of the way of God’s judgment and get right with God.

If God doesn’t help you to escape, help you to survive, and help you to endure, you won’t make it anyway, there is just too much coming upon the world. It is a time of distress as the world has never seen before. To get the kind of help from God that insures deliverance, you must have a good relationship with God and God has to specifically agree to deliver you in the day of your trouble. He has to agree to pick you up and give you a ride on His train through that judgment.

Riding on the train with the Engineer is a lot different from standing in front of the train as it approaches.

Monte, are you saying that we should do no physical preparation? No, that is not what I am saying. I am saying that whatever preparation you feel led to do, load it on the train to begin with. Don’t do your own thing. Helping some others to get on board with the Lord would be a really good idea too.

All aboard!

Monte
